This bust which is on a stained ivory pedestal shows a woman with her head turned very slightly to the left, covered by a flat cap. She wears a low round-necked dress with a tight corsage ornamented with a line of bows down the front, elbow length sleeves ending in a ruffled cuff; over her left shoulder are the fold of a cloak or scarf.

The bust, which is on a stained ivory pedestal, shows the head turned very slightly to the left covered by a flat cap. She wears a low round-necked dress with a tight corsage ornamented with a line of ows down the front, elbow length sleeves ending in a ruffled cuff; over her left shoulder the folds of a cloak or scarf.
