This relief representing the head of a lady was probably made in the first half of the 16th century South Germany. This was perhaps based on a medal by Hans Schwartz.

Physical description

The lady is in profile facing right, her jair under a net surmounted by a hat with a slit upturned brim and a low crown. She wears an embroidered coat fitting high upon the neck.
