The Resurrection, mother of pearl relief, South German, late 15th century
Physical description
The figures are desposed exactly as in A.56-1929; but the edge of the tomb is here ornamented with a square pattern (also seen in the background of A.39-1929) the soldiers wear armour resembling mail rather than plate. The background is filled by floreated markings. The workmanship is coarser. The relief is concave and the cutting shallow.
