Physical description | Relief in mother of pearl. The Virgin kneels on the left, looking down at the Child who lies in a wicker cradle. Joseph holding a staff stands on the right under the tiled porch of the large stone built stable. This extends across the background and has a tower and a door on the left. In the centre the ox and ass look out through windows. On the extreme left two shepherds approach. |
