This is an ivory statuette made in ca. 1580-1600, probably in Italy, perhaps Venice. It represents St. Peter holding a key in his right hand. This and its accompanying piece representing St. Paul (V&A Mus. no. 214-1867) could have originally formed part of a monstrance or other liturgical item, analogous to an Augsburg work in Zagreb Cathedral.
