Fine whitework sampler mounted in a circular frame, glazed on both sides. Very fine white cotton embroidered with white cotton. A swan facing left with a crown on its head and a heart on a chain around its neck. Surrounded by a pattern of water lillies and other foliage.
A panel showing composite techniques: trailing as an outline to the satin stitch border, eyelets, bullion and french knots, seeding, ladder stitch, punch stitch and net darning.
