Border of needlepoint lace in coloured silks partly stiffened with wire, known as Greek bibila lace. A row of thirty small stems bearing various flowers and fruit, springing from a narrow strip representing the ground. The stiff stems are made of wire covered with green silk, and the fruit is padded.

Object history
When purchased it was mounted on linen in an oak frame (glass broken). Sight measure, 22 in. by 14 1/16 in. (New glass now put in, and frame stained black, July 1903)
