Guillaume de Croy (1458–1521) belonged to one of the most illustrious and well-connected families of Brabant in the 15th and 16th centuries. He was Duke of Soria, Marquis of Aarschot and Lord of Chièvres. He was also tutor to the young Holy Roman Emperor Charles V, and was later his counsellor. He married Marie-Madeleine de Hamal.

Guillaume and his wife are shown here kneeling in prayer. They face to the right, with the Croy arms below Guillaume and those of Croy-Hamal below Marie-Madeleine.

The glass was sold from the church at Aarschot, north-east of Louvain, in 1833. The panels found their way to the chapel of Rugby School in Warwickshire.
