Albert Louden is a self-taught artist whose work is generally characterised as 'outsider art'. His highly personal drawings have been described as giving a microscopic vision of all the sentiments that are aroused in us by the claustrophobia of city life: the irritations, the anger, the aggression. His work has an intense visionary quality that links him to 20th century European artists such as Marc Chagall, Paul Klee, and the Surrealists.
