Object history
The costume was designed by David Walker for Hop o'My Thumb in The Sleeping Beauty, produced by The Royal Ballet in 1977. The solo was choreographed for Wayne Sleep by Kenneth MacMillan for his 1973 production and was incorporated into several later productions. In 1977 it was danced by Graham Fletcher. The solo is for one of the Fairy Tale characters attending the wedding of Princess Aurora and Prince Florimund.
