This heavy gold bracelet is superbly made by a firm, EJ Ltd., which is known to have supplied the London branch of Cartier.

The geometric design shows the continuing influence in British jewellery of the last phase of Art Deco, which had been the dominant style of the 1920s and 1930s. The use of yellow gold continues a trend in the 1930s when yellow gold once again became highly fashionable after a period when platinum and white gold had been favoured.
