One of a sequence of casts showing stages in the making of a brooch by Trifari, a leading manufacturer of costume jewellery in Providence, Rhode Island.

This stage shows one of the two major elements, part 'B', of the brooch as it appears after it has been cast and removed from the rubber mould. The brooch element in the centre, a leaf, is attached to the sprue formed when the molten metal was poured into the mould.
