View of the One Hundred Elms Farm

Tile Panel
ca. 1899 (manufactured)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

Framed by a border of ornamental tiles, this panel took pride of place in the extensively tiled interior of a dairy shop in Harrow, Middlesex. It shows One Hundred Elms Farm in nearby Sudbury, with its Victorian farmhouse and a Tudor building that had once been a chapel. Both buildings still stand. The dairy shop and farm were acquired by United Dairies in 1918, and the panel was moved to several different company sites before being presented to the Museum in 2003.
