Women's side-fastening short jacket of pink plain weave weight silk embroidered in floss silks in satin stitch with sprigs of flowers (in pink, brown, purple,bluea and grey). The garment is shaped at the waist with long, narrow sleeves and a high, stand-up collar. The jacket fastens on the right with seven loop and knot buttons fashioned in flower shapes. and has a high slit at both sides (ca. 20-30 cm). It has a light pink silk twill lining. The borders are edged with light green and white applied braid and fringe.

Object history
Valery Garrett purchased this jacket, which she believed dated to c.1915, from a Shanghai street market in the early 1990s. This type of jacket might have been worn with some of the skirts now in the V&A and also originating from the Valery M. Garrett Collection. Examples are FE.50, 51 & 52-1995
