Gallery label
Sharon Epstein graduated in Printed Textiles from Glasgow School of Art in 1988 and studied at the Banff School of Fine Arts, Alberta. She describes herself as a 'landed immigrant living in Canada'. Epstein is increasingly inspired by Biblical themes and Indian colours. She is one of the few artists who is being commissioned by synagogues to create contemporary furnishings and liturgical textiles.(2003)
