Object history
Believed to have been collected by the donor's father while he was resident in Burma in the second half of the 1930s.
Production
No further attribution came with this bag but it strongly resembles a Kachin bag GK 1 in the Bankfield, Halifax, Yorkshire collection attributed to Kachin State. See Costumes of Upper Burma and the Shan States; R. A. Innes; Halifax Museums 1957; Fig. 17, text p. 19
