Object history note

The frescoe by Polidoro da Caravaggio from which this etching derives is located above the second window from the left on the frieze between the first and second stories on the façade of the Palazzo Milesi, Rome.

Descriptive line

Giovanni Battista Galestruzzi. Short dress coat with a sash between pairs of shields and vases. Plate 2 from a series of 6 prints derived from works by Polidoro da Caravaggio.
