Object history | Believed to have been collected by the donor's father while living in Burma in the second half of the 1930's. Historical significance: This style, introduced at the turn of the 19th/ 20th century,was a modification of the earlier tightly fitting open fronted ein-gyi made fashionable at the court of the Konbaung Kings (1752-1885). |
