Robin Rive designed this bear. She is an award winning teddy designer from New Zealand. This bear, called Teddy 2002, won a Toby award in 2002. It was made especially to commemorate one hundred years of the teddy bear. It is made to look like Theodore Roosevelt, President of the United States at the beginning of the twentieth century. He was known as Teddy and is said to have given his name to the soft toy.

Physical description

Long brown mohair plush fully jointed teddy bear. The bear is designed to resemble President Theodore Roosevelt with a hat, a red spotted scarf around the neck and a pair of spectacles.
