Physical description
Oil painting showing the banquet scene in Macbeth. Castle hall, lit by framing torches, with, in foreground, two central pillars supporting a ceiling arch. Beyond the pillars are tables, left, right and centre and a central dais, with figures sitting and standing. Macbeth and Lady Macbeth stand beside the left hand pillar. Macbeth points at the white, ghostly figure of Banquo on the dais, centre. Signed.
