The traditional brown leather school satchel has an enduring appeal. Bill Amberg has refined the design of the conventional school bag and used fine leather to create a practical, stylish and modern shoulder bag. Amberg began his design consultancy business in London in 1982. His work encompasses furniture products as well as luggage and other smaller leather goods. Amberg says about working with leather, ‘I love its strength, its warmth, the way you have to get to know a skin before you can work with it. Each one is different - which means every piece we make is as unique as a signature.’
