Physical description

Window of five main lights and ten tracery lights showing the Ascension of Christ through two rainbows, flanked by angels blowing trumpets, the Crucifixion and a sleeping soldier. Rays of light radiate into the tracery which has a row of vertical trumpets at the top.

Object history note

Made for the chapel of Richmond College, Queen's Road, Richmond, Surrey, a theological training college for the Methodist Church. The property was sold by the Methodist Church in about 1980 and the window removed at that time.

Historical significance: Salisbury designed a number of windows for Wesley's Chapel, the home of Methodism in the City of London.
