Although underwear is often hidden, even in private, some undergarments, such as this pink and black satin creation by Agent Provocateur, are so decorative and dramatic that clearly nothing is meant to be worn over the top. Their deliberately seductive designs carry the clandestine into the realm of fashion. Agent Provocateur’s lingerie is daring and colourful, and often takes its inspiration from 1950s film sirens and pin-up girls. The company was founded in 1994, with its first shop in the heart of London’s Soho. It has expanded rapidly, adding stores in Europe, the Middle East and the United States.
