The Wonderbra was introduced by Gossard in 1969 and soon became a best seller. Made from 26 separate parts, its padded cups and plunging neckline are designed to achieve maximum cleavage. The Wonderbra remains as popular today as ever. Karl Lagerfeld, commenting in 1994 on the revival of the voluptuous bust at the latest Paris fashion show, cited the Wonderbra as 'the single most important feature of fashon in the past 10 years'.(1997)
