Hardy Amies used one of Bernat Klein's soft, loosely woven nubbly tweeds to maximum effect. He kept the lines of this winter dress and jacket simple and created an interesting interplay by cutting the fabric on the cross in the jacket and along the grain in the skirt. The turquoise in the heathery-coloured tweed is echoed in the buttons and jersey bodice. Produced in subtle as well as brillant jewel colours, Bernat Klein's tweeds were used by top international designers.(1997)
