Cicular convex shield with a recurved edge, made of transluscent and yellowish brown prepared deer skin. The shield is decorated with a central gold painted rosette and gold floral border, Four gilt and pierced bosses and a crescent are applied to the surface, the bosses covering attachment points for the knuckle pad and straps.
