Twinkling tiaras worn by society beauties in portraits by Cecil Beaton inspired this gentle parody. It was specially designed for John Galliano, who has extensive knowledge and intuitive understanding of historical and theatrical dress. Stephen Jones studied at Central Saint Martins School of Art and trained in millinery part-time with Shirley Hex of Lachasse. He opened his Covent Garden shop in 1980.
