Physical description
Boned bodice with short sleeves and rounded neck in off white synthetic fabric, the sleeves edged with off white artificial chiffon frill. The main bodice is of cream cotton woven with a zig-zag texture, cut into narrow serrations at the upper edge, the whole overlaid with fine net. Above this is a fine synthetic stretch fabric in flesh tones, cut into a round neck, with short white synthetic sleeves cut into serrations at lower edge from which is attached a frill in pale flesh toned artificial chiffon. The bust is decorated with transparent sequins and these panels are overlaid with flesh-coloured see-through fabric; ;the lower edge beneath the bust is cut into deep serrations. Under these panels, extending down the bodice and beyond the lower edge are long white cords. To either side of the back opening are vertical lines of fine red cord. The costume is lined with white cotton and fastens at the back with hooks and eyes.
