  • It took a year of collaboration between designer Rosemary Moore and technical specialist Gerald Day to produce this dramatic cape. It is made in four main sections, each knitted to shape using computer technology. It was originally created for 'Masquerade', an exhibition of wearable art, shown in London and Japan in 1986.(1997)

It took twelve months of collaboration between designer Rosemary Moore and technical specialist Gerald Day to produce this dramatic cape. It was made in four main sections, each knitted to shape using computer technology. Created for 'Masquerade', an exhibition of wearable art (London and Japan, 1986). Selected as an entry in the first International Textile Design Competition and winner of the Japan Fashion Foundation Award. Given by Rosemary Moore and Gerald Day T.322-1987 DRESS English, Rosemary Moore, 1984 Maxxam (machine knitted nylon and Lycra) The body of this close-fitting garment is made from a length of tubular Maxxam, which stretches to fit almost any size.
