Gallery label | This suit from Miss Muir's last collection is a perfect testament to her understanding of fabrics and their potential. The neat double-breasted jacket with topstitiched edges is immaculately fitted. It fastens with hand-crafted perspex buttons with notched rims which have been carefully dyed to match the wool. Cut both to fit and to flatter, the short skirt has six tapered panels, top-stitched at the centre front and back.(1997) |
