A design for a neoclassical pier-glass, asymmetrically arranged and coloured with a blue wash in parts. Scrolling foliage surmounts the pier-glass in the middle of which is a shell-like form. On the right side of the drawing, acanthus buds decorate the outside of the frame. On the left, the inner and outer frame of the design are decorated with an egg and dart pattern at the top. The bottom of the pier-glass is decorated with a floral ornamental arrangement, to the right of which is a shell and to the left of which is a goat and festoon.
