Physical description

A design for a pier-glass coloured with yellow and brown wash on paper. Part of the pier-glass has been designed with this colour however the other half has been lightly sketched in pencil. The frame is composed from an inner border decorated with an egg and dart pattern while the outer border is comprised of palm leaves and floral arrangements. The frame is square at the bottom with a central leafy form and the sides of the frame curve towards the top to form an arch. The palm leaves meet at the top of the frame and are tied with ribbon before crossing and forming a decorative oval shape above the frame.
