A design for a panel for an overdoor or an overmantel in pencil, pen and ink and grey wash on paper. Two festoons of floral arrangements are positioned either side of a central frame ornamented with rococo curves and rocaille. Within this central panel is a scene from one of Aesop’s fables; ‘The Fox and The Stork’ where the stork is shown with its beak within a long vase while the fox looks on.
