A design for an overmantle in the rococo style in pencil on paper. The overmantle is composed from a central oval-shaped mirror glass surrounding which are curvaceous shapes, rocaille and natural imagery forming a decorative frame. Situated amongst the frame are shelves on top of which vases of varying shapes and sizes have been sketched. The chimney piece has been drawn underneath the overmantle. Verso is a sketch similar in design to this drawing.
