A design for a chimney piece in the chinoiserie style. The overmantle takes the form of a pagoda-inspired shape consisting of three different tiers, supported by slender columns with decorative lambrequin embellishments and ornamental frosting. The chimney piece itself is similar in form. In the centre of the frieze is a duck seated on top of water.
