Shirin Guild’s clothing envelops the body with designs based upon the squares and T-shapes of traditional Iranian and Japanese clothing. This layered linen ensemble in a muted palette draws upon both sources. The jacket derives from the kimono and the design of the trousers, with its distinctive front panel, is inspired by the clothing of Iranian peasant woman, who wear skirts of their trousers for warmth.
