Quilt cover, linen embroidered with silk in double running in steps and in diagonal lines; later backed with linen.
It is decorated with bands of offset sprays of flowers. Each has three large blossoms with pointed petals. In alternate sprays the petals are outlined in red, creating diagonal lines along the length of the textile. If the petals are not outlined in red, the segmented base of each flower is. The colours of the petals have faded to beige. The green stem bears two small yellow/beige flowers and two blue flowers . At the base of the stem is a four petalled yellow flower. There is no border.
The cover is made from three widths which were joined before being embroidered.
