Content description
Depicts a garden sculpture with a bust of Diana and a sundial in front of two archways with wrought-iron grilles.

Ioh. Iacob Schübler inv. et del. Georg Lichtensteger Sculpsit 2. Neu eingerichtete Treillage mit zierlichen öffnungen, Gatterwerck Vasen, Ruhe-Banck, und angeordneten Diana-Bild, beij weichen ebenfals nach meiner neuen Invention gewiesen worden, wie ein Busto, besser als bishero bekannt gemacht, könne eingerichtet und an allerhand beijwercken verknüpffet werden. Cum Privil. Sac. Cæs. Maj. Hæred. Ierem. Wollfij exc. Aug. Vind.
Translation
Newly arranged latticework with delicate openings, trellis-work vases, resting bench, and assigned image of Diana, which also points toward my new invention of the way in which a bust can be arranged better than was previously known, and can be linked to all sorts of accoutrements.
Object history
The V&A holds this suite as published by Johann Balthasar Probst. It was originally published by Jeremias Wolff, before 1724.
