Gallery label | These Bath- based designers, inspired by the recent television adaptations of Jane Austen's novels, took filmy Regnecy dress as the starting-point for this hand-knitted, empire-line coat. The ornate bodice in fine wool is juxtaposed with a chunky skirt in flecked Irish wool. Working under the name Warm & Wonderful, Muir and Osborne's early 1980's 'black sheep' designs displayed the same inventive blend of fun and style.(1997) |
