Gallery label | Ossie Clark excelled in manipulating supple moss crêpe to create feminine, body-conscious dresses. Frances Hinchliffe selected one of these desirable dresses for her wedding. It anticipated the soft, flowing lines that were to dominate the 1970s. Distinctive details include a top-stitched, stepped yoke above a pin-tucked bodice and floating streamer ties. Flowers adorn Diane Logan's romantic straw hat, continuing the muted colour theme.(1997) |
