Design drawings in ink and coloured wash for a gardener's cottage and porch for Miss Mary Ewart's house, called Coneyhurst, near Ewhurst, Surrey. The sheet contains a ground plan, chamber plan and roof plan, and sections through the structure at four points marked 'A' to 'D' on the plans. The design shows the cottage was to have a large outer porch, which would then be attached to the main house. To the right of the drawings Webb has summarised the cost of the project: 'Estimated cost 785£ [sic/ as carried out with [illegible] £853.6/ deduct 150 for House Porch = 703.'
Miss Mary Anne Ewart was a friend of Webb and his sisters, and like Webb a founder member of the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings. She also had a keen interest in gardens. Webb built Coneyhurst, a five-bedroom house, with this cottage for the gardener, for Miss Ewart in 1883-6.
