Drawings in black ink and coloured wash on thin brown paper, showing alterations and extensions to a double cottage at Much Hadham. The sheet contains a ground floor plan, first floor plan, elevations from the North and West, and sections through the cottages at five points. To the right of the sheet are detailed notes in black ink explaining the design of point marked 'A' to 'G' and 'S' on the plan. The drawing is signed and dated March 1895.
According to Sheila Kirk, 'Philip Webb: Pioneer of Arts and Crafts Architecture' (Wiley, 2005), p.302, this project was undertaken for William Morris's sister Henrietta, and Webb charged no fee for the work.
