Panel of clear glass painted in enamel colours and silver stain with an image of Death on a Pale Horse. From Leatherhead Church. English about 1800.
Physical description
The whole is painted on a single pane of glass. Death, wearing a turban, a black crown, red robe and blue loincloth, rides half right over various prostrate bodies. A dragon-like and frog-like monster hover each side of his head. A hurrying crowd is seen in the distance to the right. Background, dark grey stippled clouds. Enamel colours include grey tones, pale blue, pale mauve and rust red.
