Brass tray for offerings of flowers, for use in a Hindu shrine. The tray is mounted on a stem, in front of which a small figure of Garuda is kneeling, and has a rectangular base.
The relatively small Garuda in the usual pose, has a human body and face. It slots into a four-footed reangular base. A separately cast strut behind supports a large solid round offering tray with a petalled edge. This is joined to the supporting figure by a European-type screw fitting.
