| Object history | This miniature was acquired before 1891 by Sir John Evans (1823-1908), father of the donor. It was exhibited at the New Gallery, 'Exhibition of the Royal House of Guelph', 1891 (No584). A comparison may be made with the portrait by Bernard Lens the Younger, of George I in the Royal Collection at Windsor. |
