Physical description

Preliminary drawing for the monument, probably an alternative version, to William 1st Lord Boston (1706-1775) and his wife Albinia (d.1769), erected in 1779 in St.Mary's Church Whiston, Northamptonshire. Coat of arms above a fluted sarcophagus, either side of which are putti, one holding an hourglass and the other extinguishing the torch of life.
