Gary Hume is a painter who takes familiar subjects - flowers, a blackbird, Kate Moss - and transforms them into bold semi-abstract forms painted in high gloss pigments. This manner is well-suited to the use of silkscreen printing, with hard-edge simple shapes and glossy blocks of colour.

This print was published by Counter Editions in 2000 in a portfolio of 14 works by contemporary artists.
