Peter Cook and Archigram Design for the University node of the Plug in City British, 1965 Pen and ink, watercolour and collage with plastic sheet overlays Archigram was both the name of a loose group of architects, designers and theorists, and the name of their magazine. They set out to be subversive, "injecting noise into the system". The Plug in City is a project for city capable of rapid growth and change, based on interchangeable elements. It demonstrates their technocratic ideology, their high-tech, infrastructural approach, and their fascination with science fiction imagery. Circ.254-1973
