Seated Buddha image, lobes of the curving ears touch the shoulder. High arching eyebrows separated from the hair, which rises to a ushnisha (knot of hair), by a narrow band jewelled with discs of coloured looking-glass. The image is seated in the padmasana (lotus) position with the right hand placed in the bhumisparsa (earth touching) gesture. The left hand, palm upwards, is slightly raised above the lap. The folds of his monastic robe fall generously down his chest and over the pedestal. His right shoulder is bare.
