Full-size design, probably for a textile or wallpaper, with the motif of a thistle on a long stem which alternates with that of a pomegranate set within the outline of a cinquefoil flower shape. Quatrefoil flowers, possibly added as an after thought, surround the pomegranate. There are curving leaves at the bases of the two motifs.
